Sinar Laser Pointer Damage Eyes

Reztya - Laser pointer is very helpful during the presentation. But you should be aware of the light, especially the green, avoid contact with eyes.
The National Institute of Standards and Technology says that nearly 90 percent of pointers that emit green light and 50 percent of red light pointer has a beam that is too strong and exceeds safety standards.

Green laser has a shorter wavelength than red light so that more and more dangerous. Exposure to the intense green laser can cause retina heat. Although invisible, infrared rays can also cause scarring of the retina, even blind spots.
Because the wavelength is not visible, the eye's natural defense mechanism, the eyelids, can not provide protection.
The pilots are generally more aware of the dangers of the laser beam. In 2011 alone 3,500 cases known to have problems due to the laser beam on the plane.
In July 2012, a JetBlue pilot suffered eye injuries when someone fired on the runway a green laser beam into the cockpit window. Fortunately the plane could land safely. But unfortunately the person who fired the laser beam is not caught.
